PhD position open in Ultrafast laser sciences

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

We are looking for recruiting a strong and motivated PhD student ( She/He/They) to join our Attosecond Physics Laboratory activities at King's College London.

The PhD project is on exploring our Ytterbium CPA femtosecond laser capability with complex laser field topology and their characterizations.

Candidate should have expertise in either of the following experimental techniques: femtosecond pulse production and characterization,

free space non linear conversion,

optical parametric amplification,

multi-colour synthesis,

THz field characterization,

torus knot topology,

OAM and optical vortex.

The project is based in our laboratory area, but the PhD student will have opportunities to participate as well to attosecond physics experiments based on high harmonics generation onsite and on facility accesses/collaborations.

For applying to the position contact PI: amelle.zair@kcl.ac.uk and/or apply to apply.kcl.ac.uk before 1st of may 2022.
